What I Think:
Of the three flavors that I received of Gilda’s Biscotti, this was the one I was most excited to try. I love anise with it’s delicious, licorice-y flavor, and I couldn’t wait to try anise flavored biscotti!
The almond offers a sweet, nutty background … and every once in a while, I bite into a chunk of almond. But the best part of this biscotti is the ANISE! The anise gives it a wonderful, snappy licorice flavor that is part sweet and part spice.
These bite size pieces of biscotti are really yummy! The size is perfect for dunking in tea, and they are perfectly crisp and sweet, but not cloying.
My Final Thoughts:
Of the two biscotti I’ve tried from Gilda’s thus far, this one is definitely my favorite. Absolutely YUM!
